BBE N-BiG Coorperation
N-BiG signed a cooperation agreement with the Bundesverband Bioenergie e.V. (BBE) (the bioenergy association in Germany) through Sequa and funded by BMZ, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation. The cooperation aims to strengthen and support the sustainable development of N-BiG structure in the Namibian bioeconomy sector. The cooperation will further look to analyse the potential and developmental needs of N-BiG and the bush biomass sector at large to create tangible biomass business opportunities through links to international investment and offtake partners.
Overall objectives
To contribute to the development of the biomass sector that contributes to sustainable and socioeconomic development.
Project Objective
To strengthen the Namibia Biomass Industry Group (N-BiG) to support the sustainable development of the association structure in the Namibian bioeconomy sector.
Result
A strategy for the organizational development of N-BiG is developed and includes a concept for the improved involvement of members in the association’s work and generating a higher number of members.
